Joy Torres | Founder & Co-Owner
Joy Torres is a seasoned instructor with 14 years of teaching Vinyasa Flow Yoga, 6 years of guiding Slow Resistance Training/Modern Pilates, and a background as a Capoeira instructor. Her classes are alignment-based, fun, upbeat, and challenging, yet always welcoming to students of all levels. With a deep passion for teaching body movement, Joy helps individuals build strength, flexibility, mind-body connection, and confidence through mindful movement—and you can always expect to groove to some fire playlists while doing it! When she’s not teaching, Joy loves to spend time outdoors with her husband and two active boys. As a mom, she knows how to balance fitness/wellness with everyday life and is committed to inspiring others to lead healthy, active lifestyles while having fun along the way.

Vanda Taupradist | Co-Founder & Co-Owner
Meet Vanda – Your Pilates Hype Queen! Born and raised in Texas, Vanda’s fitness journey started at 325 lbs and took a wild turn when she dropped nearly 200 lbs. She tried it all—bootcamps, yoga, you name it—but nothing rocked her world like Modern Pilates/Slow Resistance Training. After 1,000+ classes, she knew she had to teach, bringing her signature energy and fun to every session. Vanda doesn’t just teach Pilates—she builds communities, hosting events that bring clients together beyond the studio. A longtime Austin personality (yes, she’s been “Austin’s very own panda” since 2011!), she holds a PR degree from UT Austin and lives in East Austin with her husband and their mischievous Basenji. She’s beyond excited to share this workout with anyone and everyone—so get ready to shake, sweat, and laugh your way through class.

Alexa Mutchler
Born and raised in New Jersey, she’s called Austin home for the past nine years. She’s been practicing this workout for six years and leads classes that are equal parts challenging and fun with just enough humor to keep clients smiling through the burn. Outside the studio, she lives in East Austin with her husband and their Australian Shepherd, Brixton. When she’s not teaching, she’s often traveling for work, leaning into her love of great hotels and new places.

America Gonzalez
Meet America—After growing up in Austin and spending four years in Boulder, Colorado, America is thrilled to be back in Texas! With two years of Slow Resistance Training practice under her belt, she's excited to kick off her teaching career at Kore Kollective. A recent neuroscience graduate from CU Boulder, America is fascinated by the mind-body connection and loves helping students feel stronger, more grounded, and more confident through intentional movement. In her classes, you can expect thoughtful guidance, plenty of encouragement, and playlists that keep the energy high! Outside the studio, America enjoys working with service dogs, hanging out with her pup Sourdough, and exploring Austin’s food, music, and outdoor scene. She can’t wait to welcome you to class - get ready to shake, sweat, and smile!

Anisa Young
A California native, Anisa may be new to Austin but not to SRT. With over 3 years of experience, Anisa is known to be a challenging but fun instructor with a 5 count that feels like an eternity and a half. The good news is, she’ll always try to make you laugh through the holds and shakes. When she’s out of the studio and grippy socks, Anisa loves spending time in bodies of water, plotting her next home diy, and spending couch time with her cat, Luna!

Jenny Reyna
Born in Hawaii and raised in Texas, Jenny has called Austin home for 25 years. She brings a strong foundation in strength training and intentional movement, with a growing focus on Slow Resistance Training / Modern Pilates. Her classes support confidence, control, and encouragement. When she’s not in the studio, you can find her walking Town Lake or exploring new coffee shops around the city.Description goes here

Katie Lai
Katie is Kore Kollective homegrown—a member turned instructor who's now fully certified and bringing her passion to every class. A fan of the double pulse and known for her encouraging spirit, Katie creates an energizing atmosphere where clients feel supported and motivated. Outside the studio, she lives in Northwest Austin with her husband and two rescued greyhounds, and serves as a Board Member for the Greyhound Association League of Texas - Central chapter.

Victoria Maia
Victoria is a movement teacher who brings grounded energy to her teaching. With a background in exercise science and a blend of training in Pilates, yoga and meditation, her approach to Slow Resistance Training combines breath, control, and strength to help students build deeper body awareness and confidence. Expect intentional movement, functional strength, and playlists that meet the moment. Outside the studio, she enjoys spending time with her son, visiting new places, and trying new flavors along the way.
